Atari's Family Trainer Is Wii Fit Meets NES Power Pad Meets DDR

Atari isn't going to let Nintendo hog all the video game fitness money, as evidenced by the announcement of Family Trainer for the Wii. It's pretty similar to Wii Fit in that people stand on it and do activities, but it doesn't weigh you and actually has pads for you to jump or step on. No price yet, but is there enough room in your house for both this and the Wii Fit? How many more photoshoots of Japanese people jumping around their living rooms are we going to get in this console generation?

Concepts reNESED, The Redesigned NES

Let us make something abundantly clear.We would buy this reNESED concept by Javier Segovia. As an emulator it would be nice. But just for good old cartridges would be fine, too. Here's a bonus shot:

Nintendo Wii's Nintendo Channel Screenshot Tour and Hands-on [Nintendo Wii]

The Wii's "Nintendo Channel" just went live, giving you a way to both watch trailers of current and upcoming Nintendo games, and feed Nintendo information on what games you play. What's the latter for? So Nintendo can better customize the trailers of games to recommend to you, thus making you buy more games and completing the cycle by feeding THOSE stats back to them. How good is it? Okay, I suppose. The other stuff, like downloading DS demos and finding game information (how many players, whether the Nunchuck is supported) is more useful. Hit the jump for a huge gallery tour.The trailers aren't HD trailers like you get on the Xbox 360 Marketplace. It's more like grainy YouTube videos before YouTube raised the quality of their videos. You can pause, and you can skip around in the video by hitting B. The videos go fullscreen if you click on them. There are DS titles, which is nice.
